I asked on another forum and it was suggested it might be common Azolla.
I don’t think it is this, and here is why. The plants didn’t spread out like duckweed, they are thick, and 1 inch thick with roots that tangle up in each other.
Hair algae is tough in a glass tank that doesn’t stay in the shade. If you get much direct sunlight you need massive quantity of plants in order to really beat the algae. The flagfish were a good move/ another interesting occupant for your glass pond - and those gymnos are so funny to watch do there thing. Tons of attitude.
First of all, it is not acrylic. It’s glass. There is usually around 5-6 hours of sunlight. 2 hours of direct sunlight. But hair algae is coming nonetheless. I have Flagfish in another pond, and they have really kept the hair algae low, though I haven’t seen them actually eat it since it is a patio pond. I love the look from the side. They look like the gymnos! I love how they pick up the sand, and swim over to another one and spit it in his face ???

Floating plants are seasonal in temperate regions, for the most part. I had an outdoor ''pond'' with cichlids from Uruguay, and in the spring and summer the water lettuce would spread so fast I had to harvest it weekly. By early October it would all die back, even on my indoor tanks under lighting.
