H1N1 flu shots for our kids + the regular flu shot

Moot point here.Confirmed case at my boys school.My older son got sick saturday,then seemed to improve then the fever came(103.4) up monday night.With tamaflu(due to asthma) fever broke wed and back to school today.Younger son stayed home yesterday and today with low grade fever and horrific cough.Ive had a low grade fever on and off since tuesday,seemed to break yesterday morning.
out of the 375 kids in the small rural school my kids go to,73 kids and 12 teachers out as of yesterday.

Just out of curiosity,where are people coming up with this "small minority" for reactions to the vaccine? Can people see into the future?
I'm not saying that the vaccine is evil, and everyone will get messed up by it. I am saying that it is too new to fully understand how it will effect people. We have seen how quickly most people get over the flu. We have also seen that the (very very large) majority of people who get H1N1 recover quickly. So why put something we don't yet understand into your body, in hopes that you won't get sick for a couple days?
Look at birth control pills when they first came out. They contained incredibly high amounts of hormones, and messed up almost every woman who took them. Problem is, they didn't realize they were messed up until 10+ years down the road...

Lol i had the H1N1 for a week and it was a wonderful time! Not only did i feel fine, but people avoided me like i was a carrier of the Bubonic Plague! Rofl i had never had so much fun in a Walmart before.
NYC this evening just reported a young girl received the H1N1 shot by mistake (she was called to nurse's ofc but she had a similar name to a boy who should have gotten the shot), she ended up with an allergic reaction + she had asthma. her mom didn't consent to the vaccine knowing she had asthma so she didn't want to take a chance.
in this case, she shouldn't have received the shot per the non-consent form in her file.
luckily she was treated properly & she survived to tell the tale.

So, I got my regular Flu shot about a month ago, and I had no bad reactions to it. I have been feeling sick for the last week and a half, so I went to my doctor on Wednesday. I was diagnosed with Swine Flu. Now, people are freaking out about Swine Flu saying that it's going to kill you and blah blah blah. It's not as bad as people are making it out to be, but I would definitely recommend going out and getting vaccinated. DO NOT get the nasal injection, as that contains the live virus and is much more of a risky choice.

I had my kids take the flu mist, so far ok no adverse reactions. as for H1N1, I am opting to have them take it also. since my kids get chronic colds (my son has a cough & my daughter caught it from him & a neighbor's 2kids also now have the cough), catching the H1N1 virus w/o any semblance of defense doesn't seem logical for me that I am willing to play the odds that the vaccine will be more beneficial than detrimental.
to feed on the gov't fed media hysteria, just reported that there were 19 H1N1 recorded related kids death just this past week. all didn't have the vaccine. so hmmmm. all appeared to be healthy w/o other underlying conditions. hmmmmm.
just like the fable - will the plague pass thy house if you awash your door with the blood of a young lamb?? so goes will the virus pass thine school district if we awash our blood with no vaccine?
this should stir some responses...

There are 19 H1N1 recorded deaths among children who didn't get vaccinated. How many cases were there of children who didn't get the vaccine who lived? The statistics are saying that 1 out of 1,000 people who get H1N1 will die. So far, I am in the 999 group, and I don't plan on being that 1 person. I didn't get the vaccine and I'm in one of the age groups that is supposed to get hit the hardest (I'm 20), and I'm still able to function and everything.sushiray;3583956;3583956 said:
