These guys are looking phenomenal and certainly posses some real potential Jhay3513 Jhay3513 . By the sounds of it you have a pair that are very close to spawning. My pair displays the exact same behavior prior to spawning. I've also noticed that my pair in particular are very good at hiding the eggs - there has been multiple occasions where they've laid without me knowing, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled if you're hoping to retain some of the fry.

Thanks for the heads up. They have dug a bunch of different pits around the flower pots so I'll definitely keep a look out under them. They're so small. Is it harmful for them to spawn this early. The female is 2.5" the male is about 3"

I just peeked into the room without them seeing me and she's in her jet black breeding dress. If I let them see me the stop all activity and start begging for food lol. I'm on day two of starving them to get them to eat pellets. Wish me luck they're stubborn when it comes to pellets for some reason

Congrats on the pair man! And what pellets are you trying to feed? All mine have accepted so far are veggie / spirulina flakes and some veggie nls pellets. They definitely prefer the flakes over the pellets though.

He decided to give me some fin this morning. I couldn't get a pic of his fins when they turn greenish gold he kept moving but his colors look amazing at those times

Ok well that's good to hear. I've tried Northfin veggie and northfin krill, and thought that maybe it was the northfin so the other day I bought NLS Thera + A and the fluval bugbites and the discriminate against all pellets equally lol. I've been feeding kens spirulina flakes but the leave so much dust in my sump I wanted to try something "cleaner". They also get frozen blood worms and frozen brine shrimp and fresh green peas. Should I just keep dropping the pellets in everyday until they take them?

Picky pellet eaters are always tricky. Ive had luck with picky eaters by power feeding what they like for a few days and then giving them a day or two with no food. They usually get real hungry after that and go for the pellets. Just keep at it, at least they are eating!

Looking forward to updates so I just subbed
