Half Eaten Oscar...The Saga Continues

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
who knew half an oscar could spark such a bunch of bs haha
is the owner of the fish even still posting or is peoples desire to beef over the internet driving this bus now.
man stay offline for a few days and the drama you miss

like sand through the hours glass..... these are the days of all lives

lmao@ hope he eats all the neon or there be 2 crippled fish hahaha funniest post in the whole thread

Lol you people are funny! Def a good read.

All the fish are still alive even the neon tetra.

But I got a question....what is the average growth rate for an Oscar? I believe my fish has not grown since the injury he is still the same size. Is it possible the fish's growth has been stunted?

And as for the future of the fish....I'm setting up a 65 gallon tank at my parents house for it to live out the rest of its life. I like my damaged fish it has character.

What is the definition of a thriving fish? I though all fish do is eat and swim and poop. Since my Oscar can eat fine, swim from top to bottom and side to side of the tank fine, and poop fine isn't the then "thriving"? If there's some other cool things that thriving fish do let me know cause I think my other two jack Dempseys are not thriving either.

As for eating he still eats flakes twice a day. I tried giving him pellets but he just spits them out.
I wonder if he would feeder fish!?!?

A video should be coming soon.

I'm glad this Oscar has sparked some interest.

Oscars can grow an inch per month. your O's body is probably using the resources to heal, but will start growing again.
When he starts eating better that'll help. but You need to keep up with water changes. it really helps growth.

No fish is a waste, and if anyone feels that way about a fish. Then you really shouldn't be in the hobby to begin with...

Great job saving this fish and giving it a second chance, well done.
