I wouldn't mix Pundamilla species with the Kyoga's because the Pundamilla are too aggressive for them. You could definitely do the Paralabidochromis Chromogynos (fish in my avatar) The things you have to look for is finding a species where the females are totally different. You are not going to have a lot of options as the Kyoga females look pretty much like all other females. If you don't want to breed and don't plan on saving fry you could mix quite a few different choices. I would still stay away from Pundamilla though.

Agreed. The pundamilia species are way too aggressive for the kyoga flamebacks. I wouldn't try it and it might end with bad results. Try a more mild species and one who looks much more different in color, body shape, etc. If it were me, I would choose the chromogynos for a tankmate as Bre has stated. You can also try the Paralabidochromis red fin piebald, Astatotilapia latifasciata, and Lipochromis matumbi hunter for example.

I do have some fry...I have about 15 of them that are about a month old. I have another 7 that are a little older but they may be going to someone.

YUP!! I would definitely be interested in some kyogas...But I dont know where i would fit them I now have 300 fry!! LOL I have to set up a lake vic tank though they sure are nice looking fish!!
