My sump tank came today. It is very dark in my unfinished fish room and garage, and I couldn't move the tank under the one light we have rigged up (cement floor is primed and about to be finished) So had to take pics of the tank in the dark. It's a very sturdy tank

The window is 56" x 19" and is clear. The tank is dusty and dirty and still has some wrapping on it.

Temporary cat fish tank :)

I think it would make a great in-wall tank.

Wow, thanks for posting this!!!
This is exactly what I want! Too bad the shipping to CA is so much. It looks super sturdy.

fully aquarium made silicone always states on the tube 48 hours i have a tube right in front of me now but it may depend on the brand as im in the UK not the us

thats a general rule. your telling me if i take the whole tube, cut the edge itll dry as fast a 1/1,000" thick piece. no it wont. all the silcone ive seen says a certain percage of water left before it cured. your right its probably dry i 24 to 48 hours but remember we have to wait until its cured.

This fiberglass tank is so sturdy and strong, that we decided today that we are just going to keep it on the cement floor. We made a "stand" out of 3 1/2" tubular steel that was to keep the sump just off the floor. So now we have a pretty piece of powder coated metal that we are not going to use :)

Something like that :) My husband is planning on moving the fish tank stand into the fish room today. Note: the sump stand is sitting on top of the fish tank stand ......then he has to figure out how to get the the 2000 pound tank on the stand

Upon further thought, the floor in the equipment room slants toward two floor drains. If the floor is not level under the sump, we'll have to use the sump stand to shim it level.

Very cool indeed. I might have to look into this some more. I need to figure out what to do for my snapper when I get home.

How thick would you say the walls are all around?

5 mm
This is the description: " New models are gel-coated and have thicker sidewalls!
These tanks are used all over Southeast Asia in hatcheries and farms raising tilapia, shrimp, tropical fish, etc. Rigid, 5-mm fiberglass is easy to clean. The blue color does show scratches, but we guarantee that they will hold water. They have a window for easy viewing of the contents and are nestable for economical shipping. Turn these tanks into an instant system by adding a filtration module."
