Has everyone been happy with frontosa?

That moba is really nice. That fish is like all blue, not any black on it.
 
Wow that's cool. Black Nangu are rare though right? So Moba's are all blue like that? I'm guessing during spawn?
 
Frontosa are awesome my are growing extrmely slow...dont know why...but they are slow growers love them...but there still workign on there personiaity so we'll just have to see

I have 4 fronts in a grow up tank right now. I love them. I started with 2 and they seemed kind of shy so I bought 2 more. Thinking about another 2 maybe this week. They are much more active now and doing great. They were a lil washed out I think from light colored gravel at the LFS. They have colored up nicely I have a natural colored gravel in the tank.
 
I saw some really cheap 4" Blue frontosa at a crappy lfs this past w/e. I have never seen a blue colored one in person, looked sweeet. they wanted 10$. NH

The difference is not so much from lighting as it is from pH. Fronts can survive in below neutral conditions. But, it'll cost in color. The closer they are to their natural 8.3+ pH, the more intense will be the blue they display.

Thanks Oddball for this information...I was always wondering how to enhance the blue and why sometimes they seem a little faded and then other times they look very blue.. I am about 7.9 ph.. so i should try to bring it up a little.. and Just wanted to say I love my frontosa........ they are awesome to own.

A couple of mine grew fast..infact one grew really fast but the others are slow..so you just take it as it comes.. they are worth it.
