LOL! its hard to catch bullheads here my friend...90% will turn out channels or white catfish only.

But with the acception of pikes, sure we will accept pikes...but only if pikes learn to cooperate and not invade the ENTIRE LAKE DAVIS.

You need to talk to people on fishsniffer or e-mail to California Fish and Game department while talking from 1,000 miles away thinking he knows whats really going on in CA. Keep in mind that different species act differently on different environment. If you haven't learn that by now, then I don't know if your a true fisherman :)

A fight is a fight and a big fish is a big fish. Also pikes wont learnto cooperate they will proliferate. do you really think they act like another person.

exactly, pikes are not humans and won't cooperate. so what choice do we got??? nothing to do but kill...

think of it this way, if you have your fish in an aquarium living in different condition. will it act differently to its environment??? the reason why pikes so destructive here and not in the midwest..think about it.

Oh bother, quit use your theory about the pike being act different in Davis Lake only. Davis Lake has same Midwest fish species (bullheads, bass, shiners, hatchery trout etc), same aquatic plants, same evironment, why this pike from Davis lake should act differently from other pikes from the rest of lakes in ANY states? Ive heard enough from whining fisherman's stories. We cannot compared from natural lake to the aquarium, it wont be work.

yes 83% brown bullheads living in Davis Lake, its just you guys are lousy at catch them. Yes im fisherman and love of it. Im sure I dont need to listen the complaining of the fisherman in Califorina but thanks for the offer. Im sorry that you just keeping LOL at me because you don't like what I said.

oh yeah, we are very lousy at catching bullheads here. And someone who has never been in Lake Davis and experience the situation itself talk like he's fished it for the past 10 years and just know it all, I've been to a couple midwest lakes and many California lakes, not the same environment a bit, so your saying that if its the same environment...then fish such as split tail and squawfish would live very fine with your guys lakes environment. I doubt it will last within a year before dying. And that's like saying a betta would live very comfortable with very clear and clean water such as the scombs will with fast flowing water...WRONG :p

well, enjoy your false knowledge about Lake Davis and jump off the bridge with the others bashing the state while I enjoy my white sturgeon season...good night. :)

what are the conditions deep cold clear warm in the shallows during the summer?

not sure what you meant by that, but the water gets pretty darn warm during summer(which is when they stop stocking trout)...mid 70s to low 80s...

haw many acres and how deep is it?

to my knowledge...

its about 4000 acres on surface area on the water and about 80,000 acres under water.

I believe it averages 20ft deep....down there would probably bring the temp to be low 70s.

your lake just a bigger one of minebut ithink the aveage of my lake a little deeper.
