i honestly want to see a happy ending we will seee

Everyone wants to see a happy ending. Me included. But I know as a keeper that those rays hitting our own water is where the real "fun" begins.

Hope they eat right outta the bag and never stop.

Thanks DB. Your right the real fun and commitment will start right when I first release them into the water.

That's the truth. Ever seen pics of adults?

Flowers are a hefty commitment. I couldn't feed or house one and I just set up a 750 with a 10x4 footprint.

Also heard they are NO fun as imports. Good thing Nates been holding on to yours so long, hell you should be out of the woods by now.

FINALLY! :headbang2
I have columbian flower rays!!!!!!
They showed up an hour early. Had alittle scare thou. The packing could have been a WHOLE lot better. The box was soaking wet ! Had to rush them into the house and open the shipping box up. When I opened the box the 2 seperate bagged rays were smushed to one side of the box (damn usps). I grabbed one bag the female seemed fine. Grabbed the other bag, the male was smushed and upside down ! I had a large tuberware container waiting for them both. So, I quickly opened up the shipping bag with the female and let her out. Then I dreaded to see how the male was. Grabbed his bag opened the bag up, turned him right side up. At a panic looked at him physically and THANK GOD he was still alive :naughty:! Gently put him in the big container with the female.
There both alive and doing well! I'm currently slow dripping them and have a air stone in with them. Every now and then they'll move fast and toss the water :D! First time they did that, my face was in the tubberware containner. I was checking to make sure all was well. Then BAM! they tossled around and scared the CRAP out of me! lol
The female looks perfect the male for the most part does to. I'm alittle worried on the disc. It's in perfect condition, it's just that on the rear of the disc by his tail. It look's like its cupping , the sides of the disc is down, the front of the disc is down. But, lately he has been holding it up barely thou. There is a indention that goes around the whole bottom contianer. Maybe this is giving me the impression of curl. I hope all is well I already let nate know about my concern. I'm not going to worry to much since the male and female are brand new. I'm sure once the male is settled in my tank, the curling will go away.
