Again! Not so much free, but extremely cheap. Around my town, there's "Balloon Fest" going on, which basically means a carnival, arts & crafts, and LOTS of garage sales. Garage sales = Cheap tanks. So, today cruising around I managed to find:

1 10g ($2)
2 20g longs ($10 for one, $7 for the other)
1 30g ($5.75)

Not a bad day at all.

my sister gave me her salt tank that was moth balled
60 gallon acrylic 4' long
extra wide in the middle
tapered a lil at the ends
the end view is slightly magnified
my first setup was an outdoor salt tank on my patio
after killing many salt fish and frustration with my first tank
someone told me try Cichlids.......
now im a Fish insane maniac living sleeping thinking fish at all times
now i have 6 fish tanks and im like a mad scientist
with a wifey yelling and shaking her head:nilly:no more fish yea right dehs gonna be alots more FISH!!!:WHOA:

i got a free 46 gallon bowfront from my cousins worker, also came with stand, hood, pleco, filter, and all decor. happy at the time since i only had a 10gal and fish were cramped.
just this month i set up my free 120 and stand and hood/lights. got it from my cousin who used to have an arowana. tank was just sitting there for a couple of years as a display case. move to an apartment so he just gave it to me. so i got my 46gal and my 120gal for free. but i had to pay for the 10gal i have :(

I got a 12 gal for free, someones goldfish died. But I left it out one summer for raising tadpoles and it got hit with a tennis ball. No more 12 gal.

got a tank for "free". all i had to do was build it. found some glass for picture frames found some aquarium sealant in garage. built the tank and broke it. almost got 112 gallon tank. then i got my 5' and i told the dude and hes like you've already got a tank and im like i neeed another to move my s/a setup to larger tank.

lol.

I got a 220 from a customer of mine that I actually sold him a few years earlier. Oceanic Red Oak 220 that was reef ready with stand and canopy. He bought it for is brother who was in a wheel chair and when he died he didn't want it anymore. 45 minutes after he called me I was at his house draining the tank and taking the fish back to the store I was working at. I had no room in my apartment for the tank so I sold it and used the cash on my car.
