correct. the tangs will go after any fish that looks like a tang. plus foxfaces have some nasty barbs that hurt more than a tang barb.
Can the eel be one of the first fish in? Would a 10" fire coral eel bother a lawnmower blenny, coral beauty angelfish, or green chromises?
no, eel needs to go in after any small fish. They tend to come out to inspect any new critters and if they are small enough they will be lunch.
I may have read this wrong, but if youre leaving in 4yrs for school, why bother with a SW tank... some hobbyists take 5,10,15 yrs to establish their tanks with the things they want. I know this is different than throwing a HDE in a 125, but why do that if youre only hanging on to it for 3-4 yrs? Makes no sense to me. Get a nano tank if your serious about the hobby and take it with you to college if you must have SW for that period of time. If not keep the tank empty till your done with school and enjoy the hobby for the rest of your life when youre done partying in school (I mean studying)

I see why everyone feels that way and I see your point. But I think that if you can keep a shark in a tank for 4 years in a tank while you build a pond, then I don't see the difference. I see your points, I may be labeled as an irresponbile reef keeper, but as long as the fish are happy and in a good home, then I think I can sleep at night. The HDME is out in possibilties, I'm thinking of getting a fire coral or a snowflake or a zebra as an eel, and a trigger and a puffer. First I got other things to worry about like paying off a suprise phone bill, and upgrading filtration.
