I've never seen a Golden Eagle, but there is a nesting pair of Bald Eagles that live a few miles from my house.

Same here. That's pretty cool that we have some over here though. I'm right on the border of where the blue line stops!!!!

I got a few pics with my phone that came out pretty bad
can you see anything?post them up :)

cool story Derpeder

Midnight, that is a falcon. Hawks stand more upright
really?i been calling them hawks for a loooooong time :screwy:
he was holding and eating in the pics.
they also fly around screaming like crazy. :D

and there was a blood splatter on the rock where the squirrel was with some fur.
wheres the crime scene pics?

and bald eagles are always nice :) theres a bunch around here too.

Great pics, I have a small bush in my front yard that a owl sits in during the night time maybe I wll try to get some pictures of him. My freind owns a farm and during the summer you can see hawks looking for field mice all day.

I always love to see a hawk or an eagle, they are just so majestic and powerful, its amazing. Heres a pretty cool picture I took of a red-tailed hawk. Owls are also very cool, every once in a while, snowy owls will come and make a nest at the beach near me, and everyone in town always has to go look.. There was also a golden eagle that stopped by a beach around me, actually in RI though, and it was just amazing to see.

Yeah, Falcons are more vocal than hawks. One other tell tale sign, does it glide or flap its wings? I can also tell that it's a falcon because of the wing coloration.

Sadly, I don't have any pictures of the sqirrel remains, my camera doesn't zoom that far. When we first moved into my current house and had the deck built, we found the spine, a rear leg, and tail of a squirrel on the botom deck. We have no idea what got it, but it was quite a bloody mess.

last pix is not hawk???

No, I was talking about the pictures that Midnight posted.

the one in your pic looks kinda like a peregrine midnight
Awesum that hawks eagles and owls are adapting to humans and even taking advantage of where we live now
the vulture that circles over the clinic is kinda bad for business though...
