Any updates... Hope she's ok.

looking a bit better today moving about more and the male seams to have lost intrest

she was very fat when i got her so she should be ok without food for another week

she has 3 bad bites on her 1 is close to the eye but no eye damage the other 2 are near the rear the flapping skin has now fallen of 1 but still a bit on the other

she is still stressed lifting the front of the disk up like shes going to jump on food

lets hope she pull around the next few days will tell

Why don't u just throw in some river shrimp or frozen foods? R u just sticking to pellets?
Priority would be to get it eating..

Really nice/loads of markings for a Leo.

I really dont understand this post?
I put a ray in my tank and its getting killed ,I will leave it to die?
You often offer advice T1 but is this a good thing?
Judging by this I think not !
Just saying what others are thinking ...
Move it or loose it .

He's already said it'll stress it out through the move, if it is near the end of it's life thats only going to kill it off. He's not leaving it to die, he's treating the tank with what he can.

I am sorry but he is definatley not doing everything possible to save that ray.
Try moving it thus removing the stress that it is placed under and then offer it the correct foods to make it want to eat .
Rays are sometimes very agressive you will find this out if you have Imported, aclimatised, and bred them .

Had the same thing happen with my male xingu leaving the mature ladies alone and only interested on the small xingu female and yes there was a large female xingu in there also. Move her out into a small tank by herself with sand, lights out, tank covered, a piece of driftwood and she will be fine otherwards the male will keep it up until she is stressed to death. Almost lost mine as he may leave her alone for a few days but she wll comletely stop eating.

maybe i should put a 12inch ray in a 2ft tank then put a for sale sign on it would that be ok :screwy:

the ray is stressed so by moving it to another tank may kill it if thats the best advice you can give i wont be taking it

rays get beat up by males all the time and pull throw you stick to the way you do things like selling rays from goldfish bowls and i will do things my way

and that will be the end of the rant
