HELP!!! 125 long stocking ideas

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I have an African Featherfin Catfish and I love it. It's dorsal fin is at least an inch long along with it's tail fin. The fish itself may be 5-7" and it gets to 8". Before I removed it's favorite piece of slate for my breeder pair of Angels (The slate was near the top of the tank), I could hand feed it freeze dried shrimp. Now it hides towards the bottom at in the center, and since my tank have an 18" brace at the center I can't hand feed it without soaking my shirt and submerging my head.
The bottle is for the knifefish to eat from. I know it's dirty and I do plan on changing it out once I get a clear one of similar size.20160531_225739.jpg 20160618_193527.jpg 20160618_193537.jpg P1040729.JPG P1040730.JPG P1040731.JPG

Update: algae scrubber starting to grow in
Ran the output into display getting super oxygenated water in from scrubber direct to tank
Did a king of diy light used some caulk I had laying around to affix it tape doesn't seem to work well

Plants were delayed should be in next week
Still haven't decided on species

Kids want small fish that breed was thinking about maybe apistagramma super reds not sure still all over the map on stocking..... But gonna introduce some Malaysian snails this week to the substrate see how that works out...filtration seems to be working great with the dirt under the coal slag already have a pretty dirty filter but crystal clear water. Also have a uv filter running in one of the 25 gallons....

What substrate is that? Also is the algae scrubber for nitrate control?
Algae control, nutrient control, oxygenation, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, heavy metals other toxins etc etc
