Help!!!! ARMATUS COMING!!!!!!

When I got my Armatus I had put him into a 33 gallon and he started to smash up his face in there by ramming the walls. Keep a close eye on it. I eventually threw mine into my 230 and it stopped.
 
Bro this is why i said you have to do what you feel is right.... I know for a fact them guys in Cali that got the small ones from IA kept them in small tanks for some time... But you stil have to do what you what you feel is right. I think the only way they will kill each other is if there is a huge difference. agin imo!
 
BigJ, lol iam happy you can see my frustration :) .... I guess like I stated before I will put 2 int he 220 and one in the 20L. If he starts bashing his head I will remove him. I thought as I stated before if I keep 2 in the 220 and one in the 20L, it might increase the survival rate....I still hate saying that, but I am be honest. Thats why I am going to do it..
 
Any fish in the 220 right now? If not, lower the water quite a bit (maybe 1/2) and place all 3 in there. I dont know how your filtration is setup, but if you were to put guppies in there for feeders they shouldnt get sucked up. They will grow very fast and then keep increasing the water in the 220. I've done this with small small Orinocensis before in my 125 and it works very well (although they are not as aggressive as Armatus).

So one final question I guess. Does anyone on here really think that 2 3-4" armatus will kill each other in a 220? They need to be in there for about 3 weeks. 4 weeks max. I just need to get the 8ft up and running.
 
Big, the only fish I have in there now are some bluegills which I will remove. 6 Raph cats (3spotted and 3 striped), and 3 common plecs about 4-5".
 
I'de move the plecs or throw a divider in there. ALL 3 Armatus together. You will be much more likely to have casulties if you mix 2 then if you mix 3.
 
I'm not sure where you are getting yours from but my dude I just got a week ago would die if he tried to eat even the smallest goldfish. I am buying rosey reds and picking out the smaller of the lot to feed.
 
Unknown I got 2 from Infinite aquatics and one from Aquascape. The one from Aquascape is inbound tomorrow at 1046 to my home via FedEx. (EST)
I think the ones form Infinite Aquatics is suppose to come in on Wend. I am waiting for him to call or PM me.
How is yours doing? What temp and PH do you have him at? He look prety healthy?? I am pretty excited. He look Armatus? I hope the little guy will be ok. I think he was packed around 230 PM today (EST.)
6.8-7.2 is what Aquascape said their's are at.
