HELP bichir with big fish

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
You mentioned setting up an indoor pond. Maybe pick up an intext pool they arent expensive at all
well the thing is i want to. But i have a dad who doenst like me getting another bigger tank. So i might do it, because i would love it. But right now i got no cash. And no space so i need to talk it out with my dad.

And even with a cheap pond, i will still need to buy a pump and heaters and heatlamps for the turtles.

Do all your chores, clean your room, best behaviour. Give him a few reasons to be influenced to reward you.

Perhaps find out what his need or concern is and that can give you ideas on how to work it through with him.

Good luck buddy

well i dont really need to do all that. My dad is quite chill, and im almost alone at house since he is most of the time working. So i clean the stuff and do some chores. His concern would be electricity price, and the space it takes. I could do it upstairs in my room. So the space might not even be the problem.

i caught it, i was thinking about releasing it there again. But it takes a long long drive of almost 2 days. And on the other hand its still not a place where they should be living so it will still harm the environment.

Yes indeed -- imo it's never a great idea to release wild caughts back into nature after they've been in a home aquarium system that has other non-native fish: they could pick up some parasites etc. that are not found in your local ecosystem and thereby introduce them to local species/bodies of water when put back.

If op caught the fish then no harm no faul in releasing it.

Wow the advice around here just keeps getting better & better.

See below for why one should NEVER release a captive aquarium fish, back to the wild.

No issues with the fact that others made the same comment....:idea::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL:

Op i defer to RD's wisdom.

Oh edit i see you expanded your insults haha

Yeah Frank, I have an issue with anyone that gives piss poor advice. See above. I quoted Anthony in my original post, somehow it didn't go through - so I added it in a subsequent follow up.

Maybe you feel that's somehow funny? It's not.

Oh, I see how that works. The world according to Frank, again.

That wasn't an insult, Frank. Had I stated that your comment was idiotic, or even asinine, it still wouldn't be considered an insult. The facts speak for themselves. The advice was idiotic, and was asinine. Entry level stuff, that I would think that a Silver VIP member would have learned years ago, apparently not, hence the reason that I linked to the sticky that has been on MFK for many years.

Have a nice day, and you're welcome.
