Help! Crack in tank!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I wouldn't fill it until it was fixed. I wouldn't want to add pressure to a crack like that.

Been doing some reading and apparently i need to drill a hole at the end of this crack to keep it from spreading...how big of a hole though?

Drain that tank and drill a 1/8" hole at the end of the crack before u have a real problem lol...easy fix. U could weld-on #40 a patch on top or underneath to prevent future spreading. I'd use .5" for the patch, acrylic scraps r cheap. If u leave it full as is i promise you it will run to the end of the sheet and down the side of the tank also.

Also if u miss the crack just drill another hole until you are sure you hit it. Better to have a couple small holes then to have that run down the tank side aswell.

Is it necessary to drain the tank to make this repair? Where can i get acrylic straps or weld-on?
