Cleaning out my new 125 and found the upper left hand corner was cracked. What should I do?

I was told the silicone is all that actually holds the tank together......JB Weld for the brace?????

what brand is it do you kno ?
if its a all glass you can go to a all glass dealer and order a new frame but they dont make that style no more you have to settle for oak or black

it doesnt say. It does have an anchor logo next to the manf. date which was jan 00. If it just needs glued then i would like to do that as i was going to set it up tomorrow.

To glue that piece properly you'd want to clean the crack out really good, use an adhesive that welded/melted the plastic and clamp it till it dried...

In the buy and sell there is the FishTankFactory guy who might be able to hook you up with the adhesive they use...

or

you could build something like this to go over the trim piece and still look good...Maybe make a canopy that was strong and fit tightly over the trim...
It is the part of the tank that has the least amount of pressure so it shouldn't take too much bracing to fix...

the damage looks like a collision with something and not a split-out on the corner, to me...

thanks for responding. I was messing with it a little bit and it does not even seem to be cracked all the way through. though i could be wrong. If i push the brace inward to close the crack, i get no movement. still seems pretty firm. I dont know if this makes a difference. if i were going to clamp it and glue it, how could i clamp such a large object. i dont have anything like that around here. i could use a strong tape over the area that was glued?
