thanks for responding. I was messing with it a little bit and it does not even seem to be cracked all the way through. though i could be wrong. If i push the brace inward to close the crack, i get no movement. still seems pretty firm. I dont know if this makes a difference. if i were going to clamp it and glue it, how could i clamp such a large object. i dont have anything like that around here. i could use a strong tape over the area that was glued?
pipe clamp is cheap...you got a "harbor freight" near by?

all you do is get a cheap pipe from Home Depot for the pipe part...make it as long/short as you want...

no we dont have any harbor freights around here. i can look at lowes tomorrow. the tape idea is shot though?

ill go to lowes in the morning. Worst case scenario, how detrimental to the structure is this damage if gone untreated?

i have same type of tank and my frame has same crack, i just turned it away from where it is noticable when i set tank up . It really does not hold anything as the tank is sealed tight. If you do apply glue, it would stand out like sore thumb.

Possible 100% failure .............01%
Structurally sound..................99.09%
Will it be in the back of your head, screwing with your mind, everyday till you do SOMETHING about it ........100%

Keep an eye on it...it'll probably be fine just like it is...;)

those perfecto tanks dont even have one piece trims, look at the pic the edge is split, and it will be like that top and bottom all 4 corners. its just there to look good. i got a perfecto tank missing a huge chunk outta the trim, it has no effect on the tank itself. its just there to make the tank look pretty.

the silicone looks a little bad in the back side of the tank but the front looks alright. Its water tight so I am not going to bother with resealing. really just worried about the frame.
