Help for my Midas, Please??

Ok, checked the tap water.....that isn't the problem.....



now what, hubby just cleaned the filter this last weekend.... i am seriously scratching my head, will go to fish store on my way home from work tomorrow and get some melafix and some prime.....

Good good. Throw an airstone in there if you've got one laying around and don't already have one in there.

That'll work. Keep the Melafix around, what I would do is wait for the nitrates to start stabilizing before using the Melafix (if his skin conditions don't start improving by then). Melafix and is good stuff to have around.

so use the prime first, after doing another water change? i think I will change the filter media also.... can't hurt, can it?

It's hard to medicate a tank when removing 50% of your water daily. So I'd wait until starts to stabilize and then see decide if you want to use it.

ok, so all these water changes and my nitrates are STILL through the roof?? I have a bottle of stability, and I bought a bottle of Prime last nite. Which should I try first? My fish store guy said the Prime is really strong stuff and I should move my fish first. I can't move him, have nowhere to move him to. Help???
