Me either!!!

Here's another mini update! Second little fry shed his little membrane thing (don't know the official term for it) this morning. He's kind of just sitting there, but he does move from time to time...I can imagine his little yolk sac is kind of heavy to be carting around. :D

The older guy is still swimming around. His yolk sac is mostly gone and I got worried that he's gonna get hungry before my brine shrimp are ready, so I tried feeding him finely chopped frozen bloodworms. He hung around it, then swam off and is in hiding again. Can't see their mouths...so I don't know if he had a snack or what...

I'm still giving 1000% of myself to make these little guys live. The excitement is keeping me up at night and I find myself waking up a few times, just to check on them....:D

Anyway, will keep you updated with pics as soon as I can get them.

A word of caution to you. Be careful, because once they get to a certain size cannabilism becomes a serious problem with bichir fry. Be sure to keep that in mind when they get bigger. They will fight, kill, and eat each other. Other than that keep the pics coming.

That is amazing! Nice work!

keep the pics coming!!!

You think separating them now might be a good thing to do?

I don't think that they are big enough to cause any harm to each other yet but soon you will have to separate them. Try a tank separator. That way they can be in the same tank and won't kill each other. As fry bichirs are seriously aggresive towards each other. They seem to grow out of it but not until they get much bigger. Just be sure to keep an eye on them as they grow larger.

Here's those pics I promised. Pulled the hiding plant out so I could clean a bit for them. I had to feed the big guy (aka Number One) some chopped bloodworms because the brine haven't hatched yet....I don't know if he ate.

The little guy (aka Number Two) just matured this morning so, he's good on his own for a little while, mmmmmm yolk! Yummy. :barf:

Damn brines....I'm gonna hate waiting for those things to hatch. How often do I have to hatch them...do they last a while?

Anyway, here's the pics:
