I have to agree that it is just a juvie rd/midas.

i thought it was a festae from looking at the first set of pics. i never looked at the second set of pics and the eyespot isnt were as high as it looked in the first set of pictures so now im second guessing myself. even though i think theres to many people that want to jump on the hybrid train id say either festae or small rd/midas. i think they look very simillar at 1-1.5 inch size.

Dude that thing has trimac hybrid, aka flowerhorn written all over it. Trust me, if you visited the source from where it came from you would understand. Every other tank has some kind of hybrid cichlid. Great guys that work there though, Thai immigrants livin the american dream...... I like just goin there and B.S.ing with them...

alright he said its 1 inch maybe a 1.5 incher. to young to have color. if you look at this thread which is a festae thats bigger and showing color. i can tell you right now noone knows what this guy has for sure at one inch. but looks alot like this festea without the redness. the only reason i would not say its 100 percent festea is because the eyespot isnt exactly were id like to see it. for anyone who sayd its a hybrid/flowerhorn at one inch is just guessing. if you dont believe me ask rapss and he will tell you the same thing i did http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=138136 your fish sure does look to me like alot like the second picture in the thread i posted without the color.

Not festea. Flowerhorn gets my vote. I have 2 1.5" festeas and they don't look like that. I know mine are true rt's.
