help me catch a possible state record bass

As the big fella doesn`t seem to mind hitting baits on top, I have to advise using a top water lure. Something noisy like buzzbait, double swisher. Personally though I`d use a darter (Heddon Lucky 13 etc). They seem to imo sort out the bigger fish.

Keep your drag taught enough to get a good hookset but not so tight as to where youll snap and then loosen it once you get him on, bass wear out quick, if you get him on the line just play him, or because i use two pound test i have jumped in the water for some bass 5 lbs and up and it has worked very well lol.
