Yes it is Dovii. May I ask what size it is and what size tank are your fish in at this time? Also have you provided sufficient cover for them, i.e; flower pots, driftwood, rocks and caves, etc?

It's only a 55gal. I didn't know what kind of fish it was and it got big and is destroying my other fish. Gotta get rid of it. The tank has driftwood for cover. The dovii takes the big piece and stays under it digging until it goes out every minute or so to attack my other fish. As I've been on this thread its getting worse and he's really attacking my oscar hard especially. The pet store is closed how should I divide the tank??

Yeah maybe I'll sell it back to the pet store or someone. Any idea of how much I should get for him/her? About 7 inches bright and fat.

You shouldnt get more than you paid. Its not a stunning Dovii either so dont expect to be making lots off it. No offense :D

Youre gonna need a bigger tank Im afraid. Your Oscar alone needs a bigger tank than a 55, 75 bare minimum by itself.

people arent even flaming you that bad so relax. but if you come on here and say you have 2 fish that get 12" and are extremely aggro and 2 fish that get 16"+ one of which is medium aggro that other is schizo aggro all in a 55 gallon tank you should expect alot worse than you got. getting rid of the dovii is a given. you should also get rid of the oscar, and one of the other 2. take your pick either a red devil or a gt. and a 55 is on the small side for either one of those fish. but ive seen alot worse things done. like keeping a red devil gt oscar and a dovii in a 55.

use a piece of plexi glass or something as a barrier and section off the dovii till the lfs opens up.

Thanks for criticizing my fish and my aquarium.

just trying to help, you have to be able to take it. If you want your O to have HITH and stuff then dont listen, Its your fish, I dont mean to offend you in anyway. I just want to educate you. I am not saying you dont know what you are doing either. Just keep in mind that there are people on this forum with greater knowledge than me or you, and they will criticize your setup.

Like the guy above me says, youre lucky. There are some people on here that would rip your balls off for your stock so relax, no one is getting angry or frustrated except you.

What you need to do is bucket the damn thing... give it a tiny air stone. Make sure before you goto bed you put some ~30degree water in so it will hopefully stay warm for it over night. I know this probably sounds shocking but you need to get it out otherwise that oscar will be literally... ****ed.

Either that or find something suitable and verry sturdy to divide it up.

Don't get defensive. It was advice, not criticism. You have to understand that with the amount of people on here, there are many that don't know these things until someone tells them here. I agree, you need to plan on a bigger tank. That said, you need to figure out something you can separate them with until you can get the dovii out, hopefully first thing tomorrow. The typical dividers made on here would most likely require you going and getting supplies, which may or may not be possible (didn't see where you were located to know the time). You need something that will physically keep them apart, yet allow water to pass freely.

edit....wow, I type too slow. All those posts before I even got mine in lol.
