He goes crazy for banana. Probably one of his favorite things. I don't have to put a whole lot of cat food or baby food on his veggies. Just enough to get the scent on them, and then I can get him to eat as much veggies as I want.

Try mixing banana with his veggies, then offer his meat afterward as reward.

Cat food are nasty and unhealthy, even for a cat.

There is also one that is closer I can't remember but the guy at the LFS goes to it every month so I may go to that one too. Ohhh wait its Taylor, Michigan I think.

i doubt cat food is bad for cats? We MUST have come past the day in age where one of the most common kept pets is fed the wrong diet (bad and unhealthy)?

You would be surprised. Most people are satisified if their cats only get to live 10 to 13 years, rather than the full life span they can achieve. Even high-quality cat food can give them fatty liver disease and renal failure. Mycotoxins and bowel diseases can be linked to dry cat food and low-end wet food.

Not sure about the US but over here we have some pretty decent foods, it cant be that bad if the whole USA is using it though...I notice your CAN be linked.. I'm guessing it aint proven then? LOL
along with tomatoes that can give people cancer and then prevent it too? lol

The thing is that the quality of ingredients they use in pet food are not usually the kind that are suitable for humans. Mycotoxins is found in low-end grains through fungi matter, which is common as to create the bulk of dry food. Bowel diseases are normally caused by indigestable matters such as plant matters. The thing is that with pet food, the effects don't usually show up until their mid-life or the latter part of their life span.

What my family and I eat, our pets eat; we rarely, if ever, touch food that are toxic to them. The exception is for fish and herps, they get whole food for that.

Cats are totally different? Not gonna start a big discussion like lol I just think that after all these years cat food isnt BAD for them or unhealthy? For reptiles I know cat and dog food are extremely bad especially for iguanas but animals digestive systems and reactions to food are extremely complicated, I'm not going to get into it as I'm not qualified in cats insides lol? But I'm not about to doubt whether its good for them either, I believe neither of us is simply qualified enough to make this decision? :)
