my fish seem very ill, a couple are hanging around a the surface with thier mouths at the top of the water, all are breathing heavily ( gills moving alot faster than usual ) some eyes are starting to get specs of cloudyness on them, i think there are white poos ( which i know means internal parasites but i am unsure of which ), i really dont want to lose fish, WHAT DO?:confused::confused::confused::confused::irked::irked::irked:

I'm not a doctor of fish but the fish at the surface gasping definitely sounds like there's an oxygen deficiency going on. Try increasing the oxygen with an airator and do frequent 1/2 water changes like every other day. If it were my fish, I'd start out with a broad spectrum antibiotic first such as erythromicin or ampicillin and when you complete this regiment move to a broad spectrum protozoan treatment program. Whatever you do, get the oxygen problem taken care of first....good luck.

Well ive currently got an air stone and an fx5 which has its out put very close the to the top of the water and is disturbing the surface of the water and an ehiem which is aswell but only slightly, it has been like this since i started the thread, there is a lot of water movment, only a couple of the fish are at the surface aswell is this significant? There gill movement is not as rapid anymore. I am more worried about the white poo.... I didnt not get a reply before i got to go to the LFS so i bought interpet NO.9 Anti internal bacteria and NO.12 Anti crustacean parasite. Which is better suited for the job? Did about a third W/C cannot do any more because used up my tap safe and could not buy any RO water + its snowing and the water coming out of the hose is literally freezing it takes a while to heat up. Nothing seems to want to eat either :irked::irked:.

Cheers

put the airstone at the very bottom of the tank. allows for more oxygen to dissolve. also, reasearch salt as a cure. idk what fish u have, but it works like a charm for my livebearers.

Is the tank even cycled? You need to get to the store and get more declorinator and do lots more water changes. I wouldn't start throwing meds in the tank, people shouldn't be suggesting that & you shouldn't be doing it without even knowing if the tank is cycled or not.
