Totally my current opinion and experince too. Not that I don't hope the one Cole's talking about to be a true perruno but, AFAIK, the chances are 1 in a trillion... not zero though :) They are known from only one place: South America, Lake Maracaibo basin, from where there has not been any export for many decades... experts tell us.


hmmm, anyone up for a trip that has an exporter license? lol

You know the more I look at it and compare it to the description of Pseudoplatystoma metaense, the more I'm pretty sure that's the species you have. Even the miffed up looking mouth seems to match. :)
