sounds like Oodinium, a parasite simliar to ich but spreads much more rapidly. It will not look as uniform as ich rather what you are desribing more like a slime or velvet. Your results are fairly typical losing all your fish, unless it is diagnosed early it can wipe out fish populations. Since you have live rock you dont want to medicate with copper so I would tell you to raise your temp alittle and lower your salinity down around .015 which will safe for your inverts but very hard on the parasite. Also think about getting a UV filter and maybe a quaratine tank in the future to house new fish before going into your main tank. I would not ad any new fish for about two weeks and be very slow and careful when you do. Good luck.

Here is an article about it

thank you matt.im going to raise the temp and lower the salinity some..

the canuck thanks for your input.i do NOT have a skimmer on my aquarium yet.but all my water parameters were great except what i mentioned above of having a tad bit high salinity.....i took my water to test at the local fish place which is really good at this and they said my water is just fine.

For instance cancer is in all our bodies and has the potential to outbreak killing us.

Are you serious? You know that could be pretty offensive to some people who have suffered from cancer, right? :screwy:

Your posts are generally pretty knowledgeable about fish, maybe you should stick to that. But such an outrageous statement would make me question any of your advice.

I work with alternitive health professionals.

Everything in this world is brought on by something would you not agree?

Doctors don't know why people obtain cancer or a lot of other diseases. Figureing out the problem is what we should shoot for. Many cancer paitents have been cured through alternitive health with nothing more than lasers and mind body and spirit health. When you go to a doctor he only treats the symptoms. He makes money off writing those pills to you and you eat them up thinking they will cure you. It only happens for a while. It was a generilzed statement and not to offend anyone. All i am saying is quit looking at the quick fixes and people need to stop medicating. You need to find the root problem.

If we did that today no one would end up with cancer. Is that not true? I am not saying we arn't trying to find the root issue but if we could then there would be no problem. Take this and apply it to your underwater world. I understand this subject is heavy, i have had people die from cancer in my family.

In the mean time people will keep thinking the pharmaceutical drugs are curing problems. Giving you that fake saftey blanket. One day people will see clearer.

So just like cancer, nuking people or your fish tank when a root problem can be solved is just stupid.

When in this case your heater and tempeture probably brought on the outbreak and its not as serious. Sorry if i offended anyone but health wise i don't agree with anything doctors say these days. They are out for the money, and the government preeches that and they know nothing more.

http://www.cancertutor.com/

heres a decent website on what i am talking about. I don't encourage anyone to buy from this website nor do i promote the products. But natural things need more attention than they recieve. The government wants that hidden as well as health care.

My best friends mother died from cancer. Watching the most caring person in the world be eaten from the inside in a chair every day was the worst thing ive ever seen. She didn't deserve that and it was the most painful thing i have ever seen. The doctors killed her before the cancer did, and she still had a chance for alternitive. I still regret to this day i had known of alternitive health and was a little older.

"""Your posts are generally pretty knowledgeable about fish, maybe you should stick to that. But such an outrageous statement would make me question any of your advice.""""

You dont have to agree with my thought process. But i hope this explains a little. Sorry if i offended you at all. This is just a very touchy subject that shouldn't be hidden. It is okay to talk about cancer, hopefully giving it more attention can get us a solution faster.

wow well look we should really stick to the OP because this is way off topic and a Sensitive subject......
TheCanuck u always have good info but you rub people the wrong way man just saying.

Wow this was a very interesting thread by far.....btw TheCanuck how's your green moray eel? A little off topic, but just wonderen because my snow flake is always hiding. They generally stay in the crevices of rock until feeding of coarse, but I'm just asken how active is your eel?

Mine is like a pet dog lol. Always chasing me around the tank. They are programed that way when they are smaller to avoid being eaten. Its instinct that will ware off. Thats how fish really begin to grow on you man. Just give it some time. He will grow and so will his attachment to you :D

My green likes it when i pet him, ill have to get a video up. he leans closer to me when i rub his top fin.
