What is wrong with your midas?
Tank parameter is 18 in wide x 48 in long x 22 in deep. Ph last night read 7.8 to 8.4. Our midas 3 yrs old, pretty sure it's a male. Same tank since he was little. His tank mates are wolf cichlids, convict pair and a jack Dempsey pair. Temperature is about 72-78 °f , whisper 30-60 filter large. His color has been fine and no changes. He really is a beautifully fish. We did a 50% water change last night. Their is a bubbler in the tank. We use melafix, start right over a week ago and safe start. We did not out in the pH balance tabs in due to having the recommended pH balance. We don't have testers for the other stuff that is asked for. He has been having jarky movements that seemed uncontrolled and then lays in the bottom of the tank.

Sounds like the infection has gone into the bloodstream. Get an antibiotic like kanamycin sulfate(seachem kanaplex) for internal bacterial infection and also be prepared to treat for worms afterwards with a broad spectrum, like levamisole or flubendazole as he may have both issues by the sounds of it. You need to act fast though if you're to save him. A quarantine tank and large daily water changes would be essential.
