I purchased a histrix a few days ago and his eye was damaged during shipping! Now his eye is red and swollen and you cant even make out any part of it! What do I do? I have the heat at 84 and a little salt. My water is in good condition. ANY ADVICE???
usually when treating 100 gal 3lbs of salt is used or 1 tablespoon for every 5gal
and when adding salt to a tank ALWAYS disolve it in a bucket of tankwater before adding it to your tank.
NEVER just dump salt in as it can burn your ray

that's exactly right. always 3 lbs per 100 gallons. a hospitalization tank would be super helpful right now. is he eating? make sure he continues to eat. keep it dark. 84 degrees is great.
is it a bacterial or fungal infection then?
or just a beating from the shipping?
