Mine is, stop bashing him

who`s bashing? get your facts right and stop trying to be a big guy.

some of us are trying to help.

as far as i know all tap water in the uk has a small amount of nitrate from the tap.

if he has a test kit that isnt testing correctly then he may have problems he dosent know about.

the guys who said parasite`s know more about that side of it then me, touch wood ive never had a problem with them. but there is a chance the ray could of been passed them from other new fish in this tank or from the one it used to live in.

can you take a video of the tank, showing the ray and the rest of the setup?

nitrate is only going to be zero if the tank is not cycled. Did you really test the water? If it is zero, then be prepared for an ammonia spike next.

I had a newly important hystrix that was about to die and was breathing out of one side like that. I treated with prazi and it slowly got better. I never saw signs of parasites, so not sure the prazi did the trick or not.

I'm picking up the med call parziquantel. Hope this med will do the trick. As far as the viedo, I try when I get home tonight. Thanks for helping

When I got home tonight, he was breathing through the other side ( the one was shut yesterday ) kind of odds so I put some worms to feed him and he started breathing through both side and move a little bit. After all I think he just lazy and only using one of his spiracle. I'll keep a eye on him for next few day. I think he gonna be find.

Thank you very much for helping

^ Glad he is ok....

Great news. Let's hope the ray was just taking time to settle in....

this is still typical of a parasite prob or chlorine. he switches sides to give the other side a break.

i would stiil watch him close...
