help please... now!! big pbass spawn! need advice asap!

wow what a downer, i walk into my fish room today to turn on lights and feed the fry, and that POS orino which is on my almost gonna get smacked with a shovel list, for this and picking on my pair 24/7 :irked:, jk kinda, im actually considering selling him, well anyway he somehow bashed into the divider enough times that he made it to the breeder net i had the fry in until my big als order gets here with some sponge filters, yesterday i had at least 60 fry, now i mite have 5 or 6, dunno exactly how he did it, i assume he bit the cage whenever the fry got close to the edge, so talk about a dramatic loss of enthusiasm, i was ecstatic yesterday now im just pissed. i was really looking forward to growing some babies, i guess on the bright side i will be completely prepared next time, although i have 4 qts of bbs i dont know what to do with now :confused:

so hopefully they get to work on that next spawn soon
 
That stinks well like you said youll be ready next time!!And the way they are goin at it it will probly be in the next couple weeks!!

that's what i think too, they are acting like they were before the spawn again already, so it shouldn't be to long, as long as that orino doesn't interfere to much, and if hes does i may just sell him, ive had him since he was 2 inches but ive had enough with his bs, i have 4 wc rio metas growing out anyway, but im getting a 210 soon so im on the fence a little, think he would let them be in the bigger tank?
 
its funny too cause when the mono female was protecting her fry, the orino got his butt handed to him, but now she gets punked, and shes got a few inches on him too, i never had this problem until i got rid of my 6 inch firemouth, he was king, so the orino was to busy running to pick on them lol

No i don't think he will leave them alone now .Once he had a taste for fry its on!!!!I don't think you should sell him though .Arent you going to keep the tank you have got them in now?

i didnt even think about that, hes had a few full bellys of fry now so far, that i even know about lol

its lame but i only have the space to have one or the other up as far as the big tanks right now, i planned on having them both up when we moved but we have to put that off for a few months.
 
my male mono is on it lol, hes doin everything he can to get my females attention, the orino must of gotten put in his place cause hes no longer being aggressive

i really dought it will be much longer till their next spawn

im gonna give the tank another good cleaning today or tomorrow then leave them be for awhile like i did before
