do more research.. you are not ready to do this yet... i dont think yer puffer is ready for it yet either.. get him healthy then worry about the teeth..
gsp and toby are fine together if you have enough space and filtration.you need to check into whats producing amonia, any detectable amounts in a cycled tank are signs of problems
there are a ton of articles about the proper care for both of your puffers as well as a lot of people who know what they are doing. there is even an article on how to trim a puffer's teeth. you can get the anesthetic (clove oil, aka eugenol) from any drug store in the dental aisle.
im gonna set up the 55g tonight and i will have plenty of filtration. 2 55g filters and a 30g biowheel filter. im gonna get a ton of live rock and also a big protein skimmer. is that enough? o and a powerhead with a prefilter on it.
need help badly now... hes not eating at all and hes always in a cave where i cant see him so i cant see his condition well without stressing him further...
you really need to do some reading..
if you just moved him to the new tank hes hiding because hes not comfortable yet.. give him some time.. throw some snails in the tank and leave him be.. check the water and try to make the cycle as gental as you can for him...
the less you spook him the more he will relax.. the more he relaxes the faster he will get comfortable.. the more comfortable he is the faster he will eat.. the faster he eats the faster he will get healthy..
