The Active UV Heat Bulbs project beneficial UVA and UVB one to six feet, not mere inches like other bulbs. They are also cost effective; they combine fluorescent and heat lamps in one bulb. Easy-to-use: simply screw into a standard socket. Floodlight bulbs, self-ballasted.

Cute little turtle Liz. I have a little Red Eared Slider that was rescued from the road. Currently in a 20L with some small convicts. Lowered the water by about a third and put in a ramp for it. Swims all over the tank and doesn't bother anyone, except for food. Last night he chased down a convict who had taken a piece of fish too big to eat. Followed him into a cave, took the fish away and swam off chewing contentedly.

how sweet he must be.. i love how a turtle looks really swimming in the tank.. maybe i will do that with him if all goes well and we get that far..one thing i can say is he is active..running all over and swimming.. he is only the size of a nickle..haha.. smaller then most of my fish..:grinno:

I have seen too many kept in those little plastic lagoons. That's how most are sold, telling people that's all they need for life. Watching it swim down to the bottom and search around, which from my understanding is their normal behavior, is fascinating. Good luck with the little guy.
