Guys I need help, my FH isn't feeling good for some reason. About 2 weeks ago she was moved from her 150 gal cichlid tank to a 60 gal with another bp. Throughout those days she was lively and constantly digging in the gravel and playing around with the bp. But the last two days she seemed sluggish, she still eating but was hanging around the top corner of the tank. Then last night my dad said when he came home he found her upside down so he added some Epsom salt in the tank and this morning I found her back at the top corner of the tank. Her mouth looks kinda wide and her breathing is a little hard. Ok worried what's wrong with her? Did she get sick when she was digging around in the gravel(I gravel filter every week) or something wrong with the water but the bp still is fine bright in color and so is she. Did she swallow gravel by accident or does she have a swim bladder or dropsy. Please help I don't want to lose her

My male angelfish did the same thing about a week ago. He refused to eat and always hid. I was able to get him onto bloodworms just to keep him alive. After some time he seems to be regaining his personality. He wasn't on the verge of death, like yours is, so it may be something different.

well lets hope not, its virul and not curable. Have you tried any meds yet? say kanaplex and the such?

He died after a few weeks... Didn't eat and just got worse. I have a thread on it might be beneficial for you to read it.

It looks to be duck lips though

What Meds do u know that Petsmart or Petland carry that could help those are the only lfs nearby. I'm gonna treat my whole tank and do water changes to see what happens and remove my carbon in my canister filter

carbon is not needed for the tank so once removed do not replace, put more media in its place, most places carry kanaplex . metroplex and polyguard. I would go with the polyguard if they have it.
