Help To Bring Asian Aros Back To The US...

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
wouldn't it be nice if it can replace the snakeheads that invaded some of the rivers in the States? Too bad they just can't multiply fast enough.

If the ban is lifted, without proper program install to save the endangered asian arowanas.... and with the combination of buying power and high population / demand from USA... it will definitely bring the status of asian arowana close to extinction...

WE the privileged owners of asian arowana... from countries who legalised the trading and keeping of asian arowana SALUTE YOU!!!

:P

+1 for whats the status...that savethearowana page doesnt work. :(

LOL we're still around, unfortunately USFWS has cut back alot and is not allocating resources to "new" projects. So we're basically on hold till USFWS says otherwise. :(

Hi Arofans in USA, there're many reasons the related departments in USA still hold on releasing the ban, but key thing and the only thing can make the change is...$$$. I've contact some big cites approved farms in Singarpor. They said, in order to open the market in usa those farms have to sponsor some funds to the departments. In a fancy way to say, those farms have to invest some more $$ in their farms to upgrade the farms and work with US departments to meet the requirements.

Good news!! I wrote a paper about Asian Arowanas a while ago for my fisheries professor here at UC Davis and he has taken an interest in regards to legalization. He is literally the man when it come to native fish species here in California and he with the weight he pulls can finish jobs on the political end that us hobbyist have now way completing. Anyways its good news.

I have been attempting to recruit him to MFK.
