On the other thread the subject of gravel came up. Could the endli have gotten some stuck ? Only way to know would be to autopsy the hybrid

I'm no expert but could I suggest an alternative possibility? As jaws7777 suggested I was thinking a possible obstruction. Though I was going to suggest perhaps Tilapia bone.

I've had experience with this with my Armatus and if I remember correctly it was a focus of some threads about Armatus deaths. Fish like Armatus prey on smaller fish whose bone structure is more fragile then their own. As such it's easily handled by their digestive tract.

However when a hobbyist feeds Tilapia to a predatory fish like Armatus generally they're feeding a much larger fish to a smaller fish. We cut the Tilapia to suit the fish we are feeding but consider the bones of the Tilapia. The bones are more significant then the small fish an Armatus or your poly may have preyed on and therefore are less likely to be easily broken up by their digestive tract. As the bone is jostled about moving through the tract the bone can't be crushed or broken as would be the case if a smaller fish was ingested. As such perforation of organs or tissue by bone may occur causing health problems or possibly even death.

If the deaths seem to coincide with you adding Tilapia or other cut fish to your Poly's diet then perhaps the above is the cause. Just a suggestion on my part because I can't really think of anything else if your water parameters are good.

Damn sorry I couldn't be more help. duanes duanes has considerable knowledge on water parameters. If I remember correctly he worked for a water plant in the past. So I tagged him here hopefully he maybe able to assist.

I believe I just figured it out ..... Not 100% but the guy that owns the property just informed me after I said my fish r dien that he has not done anything he was supposed to be doing to the well water here in over 3 years he said its prob filled with parasites metals and unwanted minerals ...... And said he has no plans on doing anything to the water to fix it .... So wtf am I supposed to do now????? He coulda told me that along time ago I wouldn't of been buying all these expensive fish!

Well there's a couple things you could do. You could go an get water from another source and try and change as much of it out with the current water as possible. You could also go get a butt load of the water from the pet store (mine sells R/O and betta). Either way I would try and do something about the water as soon as possible, but also try to ease into it and not try and change too much at a time. Not sure how much cash you'd want to put onto this dilemma, but if I were you I'd probably just go to a friend or someone that has better water. I'd take as many tubs/buckets or whatever you want to use to transport the water, and get as much as possible. Obviously cut down on your feedings and try and make the new water last as long as you can to try and test your well's water more thoroughly.

But in a bigger picture, I would be more worried about your personal health if he says it could be that nasty. Especially if he says he has no plans on fixing it.

Report this to your county/city or what ever he may not have a choice in wanting to resolve the issue.

In the mean time you can look into a home water purification system maybe something as simple as one of the units that attach to your faucet. Im moving this year to an area where its well water no way in hell are my kids drinking it. Already called a few water purification companies.
