thanks, neither can I. I'm hoping to be done in a few weeks but it all depends on the weather, rain has been filling up my hole and I have pump it out. lol

yeah the funny thing is how long it took me to notice the water was running. the pond drained ~ 10 inches yesterday, I'm kind hoping it continues to do so, priamrily because my neighbors get a bit peeved when I pump several thousand gallons of water into the street. lol

Just be careful it doesn't pump into you sewer drainage, it'll back that right up into your house...

yeah that would be bad, It's drianing well on it's own so I think I'll wait until it stops, it *should* do so at ~ the 12" mark and then I'd just have to pump out the rest.

yeah even with the mixer it's hard, without the mixer I doubt I could do more than 6 bags in a day. (I'm a slow hand mixer lol)

but my little fiasco took more of a toll than I thought, the pond stopped drainign at 18" so a little higher than i thought but the wall that I hadn't finished moirtaring eroded and now I have chicken wire that's 9" from where the mud is and the bottom is filled with water and mud, which of course is alot harder to pump out. lol

so now I have to dig out the bottom again to get to the mortar, then re tack the chkien wire in its new position and then mortar that side.

once that's done I cna do the top coat which will use less mortar per square foot but take more time as it has to be smooth.

no more pond, we moved and are renting now, so no digging allowed. could do above ground when budget allows tho, so we'll see.
