Looks like its doing much better!

Yeah, this has been a very long and drawn-out process. My water bill will be absolutely noticeable this month :[

Is he at least eating still?

Besides his back area, this fish is back to 100%. He just skewered some shrimp, so I got a picture of his bulging stomach and healing back.

I will leave him in this tank until he is 100% healed, obviously I'm doing something right with this tank, and at the rate I'm cleaning the water and adding salt I don't want to stop this procedure.

JD, I have just been feeding him one shrimp at a time and letting the bulging stomach subside before I feed him again...how many shrimp did you give him in one sitting? The photo shoes him with only one full raw shrimp in there. It's just crazy how much he craves shrimp now that he must know the smell.

He never stopped eating throughout the ordeal. I didn't attempt to feed him until Day 3 (I think) of having him in the tank, and he ate shrimp that night as well.

Damn bro. That was a serious fungal infection. You have to remember to keep your water on point with these fish. If you think you have plenty of filtration on your tank...add more. That's what led to the fungal infection. You're water quality wasn't great. Handling the fish like you did wasn't the smartest thing either. You did the right thing with the daily water changes, raising the temp, and adding salt. Keep up with the water changes till he's completely healed. Then maintain a weekly 50% routine. Best of luck bro.

Ha, where were you during the ordeal? I could have used that advice about 20 days ago, but thanks for responding; better late then never. I wasn't sure if it was fungal or not; the fish never seemed overly stressed to be honest, and never stopped eating.

Update: Day 21.
