Help with new rescued peacock eel

It's absolutely living, makes the tank so much more interesting when it's out and about
If you can buy some tiny earth worms I would try some of those as it will make it put on a growth spurt once you can get a bit more in to it. They seem to struggle with bigger foods the first time but then get stuck in. I also think you can buy super blood worm which is much bigger.
sometimes even ones you don't think will burrow will surprise you I came up onto my tank the other day and had to do a double take my 9" fire eel was buried and looked like his severed head was laying on the sand in front of my 13" fire eel

I expect you could soak those in with the ones he is feeding now and get it to take them too.
Red wigglers will be a great option when it can take them. Petsmart often carries some containers that have much smaller ones. The nice thing about the red wigglers is that they can actually absorb oxygen from the water and stay alive until they're eaten, so you don't have to pull them out if they're not eaten right away.

Eels eats like a champ, trying to vary diet so I’ll definetly take all the suggestions, gonna try earth worms cause right now it eats frozen blood worms (not much nutrition though) flakes and sinking shrimp pellets. Super active as soon as I walk by all over the glass, fearless never hides even from the 6 inch blood parrot. Hand trained already just so much fun
