i left my fish in the care of my roomate over the long weekend, when i returned i had two dead balas and some of my oscars on one more bala have small white dots all over them. my dimpsys appear to be fine and so does my pacu. ive never seen this, i just did a water change 25% and cleaned all the filters as well as scoured the tank for any other dead fish (found a couple dead feeders and removed them), what else can / should i do?

would straight sea salt work? i have morton sea salt in the kitchen, how much per gallon should i add?
I just looked at my box of aquarium salt and it says to add 1 tablespoon of "aquarium" salt for every 5 gallons of aquarium water....I know that sounds like alot so i never usually add that much....
would (kitchen) sea salt work? it will take a while to run to a store that could have (aquarium) salt.
don't risk it at all. Take the time to get Aquarium salt so you don't have anymore unnecessary losses.
Def. get the aquarium salt.... I have no idea what the regular salt would do to your fish and i'd hate for you to add that stuff and kill everyone in the tank....
