center brace on 300 just broke!!! pm me and i'll give you my # and you can call me and tell me what to do. i'm draining to release pressure as we speek...pics in a bit...help!!!!

I fyou have any long clamps in the garage or tool shed
you could throw them on there quick if your worried.

sux man, happened to me on my 135 a few years back. i took two pieces of glass and sandwiched the brace in between the two, with a bunch of silicone. clamped it and let it sit for about a day. worked great, tank center brace is still holding years later (sold the tank to a friend)

so do i drain completely? cause i don't have another tank that my 24"+ aro will fit in while i resilicon it. here's pics. i didn't like that it was so wide. can i glue in a skinnier piece of glass?

wow!!! mine only split down the middle, from left to right. just drain it so the tank wont spread open so much. just clamp the tank width-wise and re-silicone that brace and keep it steady for about a day.

i wouldnt change the glass; just use the same one.

so clamp it, silicon, and refill but leave it clamped?

i left mine drained. as long as you clamp it tight enough to where it wont spread open when you fill it with water, i think it should be fine. just dont let the silicone get too wet if you decide to fill it back up

ok so what do i do about the bio in the sump? that's the only reason i don't want to leave it drained, don't want it to crash when i refill.

fill the sump up with water t help with the bio and only drain the tank and leave about a foot of water for the aro. Leave the aro in ther with a bubbler. keep an eye on it so it doesnt jump
