Mine did the same thing. I redid the silicone and bent thin but tough metal to fit down over the edges. then siliconed them. I did all this at about half full. Hope fish is ok.

Come on people. An MFK'r is in need. I'm disapointed...

me too!! :grinno: j/k it's gonna be ok now. was just stressing earlier. moved everything but the big aro and lima, drain more water, gonna clamp with 2x4's, scrape and silicon, the refill. gonna be a long night...

oh i'll take pics....especially of the giant gourami, jardini, tropical gar and fire ell all in the 55. and all at least 10"...:screwy::eek:

Just saw this... camshaft has said it all

Clamp it with wood blocks, re-bond it and wait for it to dry.
Keep water in the tank low, and keep it moving with powerheads or airstones.
Airstones or moving you filters to the sump will keep that going.

Start getting ready to fill the tank (mix up/dechlor water in trash cans or Rubbermaid containers). Could even keep the water level low, and use some of the make up water for an H20 change if you want to leave the level lower for a couple of days to really dry your new seal.

so how long should i wait to fill? this look like the idea?
