Its attempting to eat...or you're attempting to feed it?

Would have responded to this thread sooner but I'm afraid I don't have any advice to offer.

Had the same thing lasted 2 weeks on jds added salt raised temp . that was no good added primafix and it worked . what was funny with mine is got 2 jds put 2 in a tank 1 in the other tank then after 4 months seperated they all got it !! and only them 3 and a tex but now its cleared up . Exactly the same thing as your pic with the stringy poo too
 
It first came about after i got small shark from lfs with white spot cured that then month later jds got the mouth thing at first thought it was cotton mouth of something then i noticed lumps were where teeth were and it was raised skin but mine were eating as usual though
 
Looks like it has gotten infected. The white feces is not always internal parasites. This will happen from a fish not eating and there are many reasons a fish will go off its food.
I would try an antibiotic type med in this case.

he is eating now.. not as much as he should but eating
 
Does the swollen part on the mouth look fuzzy? It could actually be columnaris or bacterial infection. What are you feeding and treating him right now? What are the water parameters? Please include pH as well so I will figure out which treatment to go about and add to its food.
 
I know this is an old thread but my Dovii has a very similar lump to this. Thought maybe he ripped a tooth out, hoping it's not columnar!!!
