Can we please address issues like these to the management instead of bashing the stores? This will help them better. You, at least, contribute to saving the lives of many fish and even help educate beginners the basics of this hobby.:)

If you were to take these issues to "management". They would only dismiss it because this is the lit by which all the stores in their chain are trained. You would only get a half-@#$ answer from them anyway as if they really care. Think of how much money they would lose if people knew better. If you think about in the isle leading to the fish section is loaded with books at the beginning of the isle. If you really want to make a difference, take the time to show that young girl/boy that just started for the summer and who could care less about fish and more about break time how to properly net a fish. You know, without chasing them and stressing out the poor fish. They will thank you for it.;)

oh dear dear dear, unfortunately in these places the guys that write these care leaflets are over paid twats and the actual shop assistants can sometimes be very knowledgable, as for this care leaflet; its a tad scary at how they just threw the info together- disappointing that they didnt take a visit to Monsterfish website to get some tips :)

No, the literature is not perfect. No, not all the employees are as knowledgeable as some of you "experts". No, it's not a perfect world. But guess what? It's called "Pets"mart, not "Fish"mart. Most of those people you take delight in bashing are hard working, dedicated animal lovers. But for what they get paid, they are supposed to be an expert in every type of animal carried, not just fish. I wish some of you "experts" could work in one for a couple of weeks. About 50% of the people are just setting up a first tank and don't know anything. Maybe half of them are willing to listen to advice. About 10% are actually experienced keepers. Those are the few joys. The rest are self proclaimed experts (like some people on this thread) who won't listen to anyone because they already know it all. Spend some time listening to things like, "I guess I could step up my w/c schedule to once a month." "My fish all died because you sold me a bad plant, it's not my tank because I've been keeping them for years. Six three inch fancy goldfish and two cary cats are fine in a 10 gallon, it doesn't exceed the ONE FISH PER GALLON RULE.Listen to this crap day in and day out and see how long it takes you to either walk away or not try so hard everytime. You ought to try giving that kid in there a little slack, chances are he is doing his best. And if you still feel the need to flame Petsmart, Petco, etc., do yourself and us a favor. Stay the hell out. If it's so bad why do you keep going back and aggravating yourself and annoying the worker. Rant over

i like how to put in the guide how to look for a healthy fish or what ever. most of their fish are unhealthy and they usually net the sickest fish since its just sitting there

if you look on the pacu identification thingy under the tank it says min. tank size for a pacu is 30 gal:eek:
