How could you pass up a chance like this?

I assure you I'd have had no trouble passing up a chance. in fact if I'd known a black mamba was in the building I'd have no problem leaving town.

more power to ya though if that's your thing. at least you had a good time....and survived.

You held it correctly my ass!!!!!!!!!!!! hahahahah. dude if that is a real black mamba why the hell are you just letting its head swing around freely for. that is one of the deadliest snakes and most aggressive snakes in the world. i just dont see them being held like that!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BY ANYONE!!!! you need to hold them firmly behind their heads. and how the hell did you see the black in its mouth if it didnt open its mouth to bite or bluff. i just dont see that as being a real black mamba!!!!! if so....CONGRATS!!!!!!! you just won the craziest bastard of the year award.hahahah. rock on MFK. and if that thing were to bite couldnt the owner get a huge lawsuit filed against him?????

i'd have a go, if could do it properly whathave you. can you have their venom glands taken out?

That's real mamba. It's a venomoid too, no one would actually let a amatuer free handle a snake like that. They take the venom glands out, sometimes the fangs too. People like that get reptiles banned. You have no control over that snake at all.

I would have to agree. Hook and tail or right up on the head are the only correct ways for handling venomous snakes.
If it is a venomoid mamba then shibbly it’s cool *** pic of you and a fast snake.

If it is venomous mamba then u one lucky mofo….. Cause that thing could have tagged you at anytime.

They also cool the snakes down so they aren't as active.

You don't really think that some would let you, a complete newb, free handle one of the worlds most aggressive and venomous snakes in a public place with children around?!? What if you'd dropped it?

Even vemonoids can be potential dangerous if the surgery is done incorrectly.

tail and hook depending on the lengh of snake if you have a longer snake then yes but a small one tongs i alway use tongs unless i cant bring them in the woods then its a colapsing snake hook

It was deffinately devenomed. It still has its teeth. I just wanted to see how long I could get away with it. hehe I was fully prepared to admit it if it came up. I did see its mouth and I did have some control over it. It would have been more dangerous for me to hold it at the head with my lack of experience. If I would have held it any closer to the head, it would have turned back and bit me. If I would have held it further from the head, I would have no control over the direction of the head. My biggest fear was that it wasn't properly devenomed. I made sure that I knew exactly where to hold it and what to do for control. Reptileman wouldn't let me hold it untill all the spectators had left. The people in the background came with him.

I'm sorry if you folks think I'm a poser. I certainly was never going to lie if the subject came up. It did still have its teeth and I ws scared out of my mind. If I had the chance, I would still hold a venomous one; only after extensive training. And I resent the total newb remark.

All in all it has its teeth, is wild, but is devenomed. It's still one of the coolest things I've done and I am just as proud for doing it.

So I guess I'm a mild poser, but it was fun. Hopefully no hard feelings. It was an incredible experience! Few people in the world have held a Black Mamba venomous or not.

Thanks for the fun.
