Hericthys Beani & Red Terror

Ya, from what I have seen they are quite the vicious fish. I would classify them with the Dovii in terms of the probability of having tank mates once they start to hit sub adult to adult age.

Yea, and from experience of keeping highly aggressive fish from every parachromis species, umbees, amphs, etc.,
The only other fish I have seen that attacks as fast and kills as brutally than the beani would be the buttikoferi. Other than that, the beani gets my vote as the craziest. And this guy is still young, can't imagine the damage they could do once older.

Your Beani is nice :) It is a shame that Beani can't live in a community tank, they are awesome...

Thanks man :)
Yea, it would be nice to have them live with other cichlids as they would add a gold color to the broad spectrum of colors cichlids have.

Even at 1" they start to destroy their brothers and sisters and doing so can cause bloat in either fish.
Therefore, he is my golden wet-pet ;)
