I normally keep my flowerhorn tank set at 85. Treating hex I'll bump it up as high as 90. I use digital heaters so I know exactly what the temp is. Your fish is in a 10 gal tank. That is going to heat quickly. I would gradually up the temp. Don't go from 82 to 90. Once treatment is done gradually reduce the temp to match your main tank. Be careful with water changes. Doing a 40% change on a 10g.if your water temp is off just a couple degrees it can put a sick fish into shock. Treatment is already stressful enough. You have to do as much on your part to lessen the stress.
