Hex treatment

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
As far as raising the temp up, that is what I've always done. I've never lost a fish to hex or hith. It may work or I could be doing it unnecessarily. Force feeding can be stressful. If it comes down to it though I would rather stress the fish then watch a $300 flower horn die. I almost feel like everything anyone has told you, you don't fully trust and and looking for a way to see if they are right or wrong. I spent almost the entire day yesterday answer your questions and directing you on what you need to do to cure your problem. Now I don't disagree with gathering other opinions or info. But every time you do, you come back and say you did this that and this because so and so said so. All I'm saying is there are trustworthy people who know and have the experience to help you. There's what close to 50 replies to this thread and majority are between me and you. If I didn't have the slightest clue as to what I was talking about do you think I would stick around answering you questions.

I'm not saying your wrong. Me as a person and who I am, I like to know as much as I can. So yes I ask multiple questions to multiple people. It has nothing to do with not trusting you because I do!

By the 4th day he would eat. But don't feed him just plain pellet. Mix Epsom salt and metro with the pellets then feed him.

Update on the hospital tank. I took out all the rocks and am using just a foam filter now. Any suggestions on how to keep my 100gallon tank cooler? It reached 90* today. I live on the second story and it gets hotter up here.

If your tank is in direct sunlight move it, turn your lights off, float frozen bottles of water or ice packs. They also sell chillers but they are expensive. With any method you use to chill the tank, watch that you don't drop the temp to quick.

The tank isn't in direct sun :/ it's just got up here. I was thinking of making two holes on my wood too on both sides. One side will have a computer fan blowing in and the other side will have a computer fan blowing out. Thought maybe that would help out the 100 gallon tank. I could do the same maybe with the 10gallon tank

You can try I doubt that will do much except put useless holes in your stand. If your going to use a fan have it blow directly on the water surface.
