all in research my man. petco and petsmart often make "mistakes" like that. Except it's hard to call them mistakes because most of it is knowingly.
My advice to you, research anything before you ring it up. read the sign at the store, talk to people at the LFS and then compare it to what you can find on the net (doesn't even have to be MFK). People with firsthand experience is worth more then a sign in a fish tank. Some of the people at fish stores have experience too
